Healing Education and Research Center is NAADAC Approved Continuing Education Credits Provider

Healing Educational and Research center (HER Center) is a healing institute established to provide mental health counseling and theraputic wellness educational services to individuals and groups. We use a leading-edge energy based integrative and unified psycho neuro-spiritual approaches as pathways to attain healing and state of wellbeing.

A psychospiritual model using teaching as a healing tool, is designed to identify the emotions which grow out of trauma and fear, and realign the body, mind, and spirit in unity to restore balance and wellbeing.

By learning and practicing newly acquired techniques it is indeed possible to re-wire the brain and the nerveous system and allow to create new neural pathways that support positively adaptive behaviors and habits; and it is in deed possible to develop new behaviors and to terminate old patterns of thoughts and unhealthy behaviors which no longer serve us.

HER Center  also provides workshops and wellness trainings as well as NADAAC Approved Continuing Education (CE) Credits for mental health professionals, social workers, addiction professionals, students & anyone with a curious mind and a desire for self improvement and personal growth.
 

About the Founder

Dr. Abeba Fekade holds a Ph.D. in Neuropsychology and MA in Cognitive Developmental Psychology from Howard University and two undergraduate degrees in biology and psychology from Metro State University, Denver Colorado as well as MAC master addiction counselor. She has acquired a wide range of knowledge and academic training in the biological, psychological, and leading-edge energy sciences, and has been teaching psychology in several universities and colleges for over 25 years.

She has conducted research at the National Institute for Mental Health, Brain Disorder Branch, St. Elizabeth’s Campus, Washington, DC, investigating, cognitive and memory function in schizophrenic patients. She is Master addiction counselor and is a certified Neuro Linguistic Program practitioner, quantum touch Practitioner, and auricular acupuncture practice for addiction treatment and is a Substance Abuse professional SAP. In addition, Dr. Fekade provides training and workshops to health professionals and educators focusing on the impact of traumatic experiences on health and mental wellbeing; a treatment modality, which is based on a unified field of healing energy- an integrative, a tewahedo pathway to wellbeing-, which creats an energetic holistic alignment between mind, body and spirit. Dr. Abeba Fekade is the founder and executive director of Healing Education and Research Center (HER-Center).
